Hakkında Nok Air

Nok Air, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, is a low-cost carrier operating primarily domestic routes within Thailand. The airline's name means 'bird' in Thai, and its colorful bird-themed livery featuring different bird faces on each aircraft nose is one of the most distinctive in Asian aviation. Nok Air operates its primary base at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand's original international airport that now serves as the capital's budget airline hub. The airline's fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Nok Air offers a single economy class cabin with charges for checked bags, meals, and seat selection on some fare types, while its higher fare classes include these services. The airline serves an extensive domestic Thai network, connecting Bangkok with cities across Thailand including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hat Yai, Udon Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and numerous other destinations. Nok Air was originally established with Thai Airways as a major shareholder, though the ownership structure has changed over time. The Nok Fan Club loyalty program offers points earning and redemption. Nok Air does not belong to any global airline alliance. The airline filed for bankruptcy rehabilitation in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, undergoing debt restructuring while continuing limited operations. Nok Air's subsidiary, NokScoot, a joint venture with Scoot for long-haul low-cost services, was dissolved during the pandemic.
