Ukraine International Airlines

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is not a member of any major airline alliance. The Ukrainian flag carrier previously operated an extensive network from Kyiv. UIA's operations have been severely impacted since February 2022 due to the closure of Ukrainian airspace resulting from the conflict.

UIA's primary hub is Boryspil International Airport (KBP) in Kyiv. Before the conflict, the airline operated from Kyiv to over 50 international destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. Ukrainian airspace has been closed since February 2022, suspending regular flight operations.

UIA offers Business Class and Economy Class on its Boeing 737 and 767 fleet. Business Class on the 767 wide-body provides lie-flat seats for long-haul routes. The airline's service quality improved significantly in the years before the airspace closure.

UIA Economy passengers on international flights received one free checked bag up to 23 kg during normal operations. Business Class included two bags at 32 kg each. The airline's policies may be subject to change when operations resume.

Ukraine International Airlines suspended all regular flights in February 2022 following the closure of Ukrainian airspace due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The airline has maintained its organizational structure and Air Operator's Certificate with the goal of resuming operations when conditions permit. UIA was Ukraine's largest airline before the suspension.
