Flybe

Flybe was not a member of any major airline alliance. Europe's largest regional airline operated independently with codeshare agreements with airlines including Air France, Finnair, and Emirates. Flybe ceased operations in 2020 and briefly restarted in 2022 before permanently closing in 2023.

Flybe operated from multiple UK regional airports, with its largest bases at Southampton (SOU), Manchester (MAN), Birmingham (BHX), and Exeter (EXT), where the airline was headquartered. Flybe connected UK regional cities with each other and with European destinations.

Flybe operated a single Economy class cabin on its fleet of Bombardier Q400 turboprops and Embraer E-Jets. The airline focused on providing essential regional connectivity rather than premium cabin products.

Flybe's Just Fly fares included only hand baggage, while Get More and All In fares included checked baggage. The airline's baggage policies evolved over the years as it attempted various pricing strategies to remain financially viable.

Flybe entered administration in March 2020 after years of financial struggles, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic's onset. The brand was acquired and briefly relaunched in April 2022 with a reduced network, but the restart failed and Flybe permanently ceased operations in January 2023. At its peak, Flybe carried over 8 million passengers annually on UK regional routes.
