Widerøe

Wideroe is not a member of any major airline alliance. Norway's largest regional airline operates independently, though it has interline agreements with SAS and other Scandinavian carriers. Wideroe focuses on connecting remote Norwegian communities.

Wideroe operates from numerous airports across Norway, with its headquarters in Bodo (BOO). The airline serves over 40 Norwegian airports, many of which have short runways in remote locations along the Norwegian coast, fjords, and northern regions.

Wideroe operates a single Economy class cabin on its fleet of De Havilland Canada Dash 8 turboprops and Embraer E190-E2 jets. The airline was the launch customer for the E190-E2, using it on longer domestic and international routes.

Wideroe Mini fares include only cabin baggage. Wideroe and Wideroe+ fares include one checked bag of 23 kg. Due to the small size of turboprop aircraft, oversized items may need special handling on regional routes.

Wideroe operates the most extensive regional network in Scandinavia, connecting remote Norwegian coastal and northern communities that lack alternative transport options. Many airports served by Wideroe have short runways requiring STOL-capable aircraft. The airline operates under Norwegian government PSO (Public Service Obligation) contracts to maintain lifeline air services.
