Virgin Atlantic Airways

Virgin Atlantic joined the SkyTeam alliance in 2023, becoming the first UK-based member. The airline also maintains a close joint venture with Delta Air Lines on transatlantic routes and codeshare partnerships with Air France and KLM, giving passengers access to a wide global network.

Virgin Atlantic's primary hub is London Heathrow Airport (LHR), with a secondary base at Manchester Airport (MAN). The airline operates long-haul services to destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia from these two UK gateways.

Virgin Atlantic offers three cabin classes: Upper Class with a lie-flat suite featuring a privacy door and direct aisle access, Premium with wider seats in a dedicated cabin, and Economy with standard and Delight options for extra legroom. Upper Class passengers also receive access to the airline's Clubhouse lounges.

Virgin Atlantic Economy passengers receive one free checked bag up to 23 kg on all routes. Premium passengers are allowed two bags at 23 kg each, while Upper Class passengers receive two bags at 32 kg each. Economy Light fares include one checked bag at 23 kg.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is the airline's loyalty program where members earn Virgin Points on flights and partner spending. Status tiers include Red, Silver, and Gold, with Gold members receiving Clubhouse lounge access, priority boarding, and extra baggage. Virgin Points can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, and experiences across Virgin Atlantic and SkyTeam partners.
