Vueling Airlines

Vueling Basic fares include only a small personal bag under the seat. A 25 kg checked bag can be added during booking at reduced rates. Optima and TimeFlex fares include a 25 kg checked bag. Vueling allows up to three checked bags per passenger, with additional bags purchasable at the time of booking or at the airport.

Vueling uses the Avios loyalty currency shared across the International Airlines Group (IAG), which includes British Airways and Iberia. Vueling Club members earn Avios points on flights that can be redeemed across all IAG partner airlines. This integration gives Vueling passengers access to one of the largest loyalty ecosystems in European aviation.

Vueling operates a single Economy class cabin across its all-Airbus fleet. The airline offers four fare types — Basic, Optima, TimeFlex, and Family — each providing different levels of included services. Passengers in rows 1-4 and exit rows can enjoy extra legroom, and Optima fares include seat selection and a trolley bag.

Vueling's primary hub is Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN), where the airline is the largest carrier by passenger numbers. Other major bases include Rome Fiumicino (FCO), Paris Orly (ORY), and Florence (FLR). Vueling is the largest airline in Spain's domestic market and a leading carrier on routes between Spain and Italy.

Vueling is not a direct member of any airline alliance but is a subsidiary of the International Airlines Group (IAG), which includes oneworld members British Airways and Iberia. Through IAG, Vueling offers connecting flights via its partner airlines and participates in the shared Avios loyalty currency, providing indirect access to the oneworld network.
