Air Niugini

Air Niugini is not a member of any major airline alliance. Papua New Guinea's flag carrier operates independently with codeshare agreements with Qantas and other regional carriers. The airline provides essential air connectivity for the island nation.

Air Niugini's primary hub is Jacksons International Airport (POM) in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. The airline connects Port Moresby with domestic destinations across PNG's diverse terrain and international routes to Australia, the Philippines, Japan, and Pacific Island nations.

Air Niugini offers Business Class and Economy Class on its Boeing 767 and Fokker aircraft. International routes feature a two-class configuration, while domestic services on smaller aircraft may operate with a single Economy cabin.

Air Niugini Economy passengers receive one free checked bag up to 23 kg on international flights. Business Class includes two bags at 30 kg each. Domestic baggage allowances may vary depending on the aircraft type and route.

Papua New Guinea has extremely limited road infrastructure due to its mountainous terrain and dense rainforest. Air transport is often the only practical way to reach many communities across the country's 600+ islands.
