Swiss International Air Lines, commonly known as SWISS, was established in 2002 following the collapse of Swissair and is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. The airline operates its primary hub at Zurich Airport with a secondary hub at Geneva Airport. As a member of the Star Alliance through its parent company Lufthansa Group, SWISS operates a fleet of approximately 90 aircraft, including Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A340-300, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A220-100 and A220-300, and Airbus A320neo family types. SWISS's cabin products include First Class on Boeing 777 aircraft featuring individual suites, Business Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy, and Economy. The airline is known for its Swiss hospitality and quality, featuring Swiss chocolate distributed during boarding and a curated selection of Swiss wines and regional cuisine. SWISS operates Senator and Business lounges at Zurich and Geneva airports. The Miles & More loyalty program, shared across the Lufthansa Group, serves SWISS passengers with earning and redemption options across Star Alliance partners. SWISS was acquired by the Lufthansa Group in 2005 and has since undergone fleet renewal and route network optimization. The airline serves over 100 destinations in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with a particular strength in connecting Switzerland to global financial and business centers.
