Singapore Airlines, founded in 1947 as Malayan Airways and reestablished under its current name in 1972, is the flag carrier of Singapore and consistently ranked among the world's finest airlines. Headquartered at Singapore Changi Airport, one of the most awarded airports globally, the airline operates an extensive network spanning over 130 destinations across six continents. Singapore Airlines is a founding member of the Star Alliance. The airline's fleet comprises modern wide-body aircraft including the Airbus A350-900, Airbus A380, Boeing 777-300ER, and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. Singapore Airlines was the launch customer for the Airbus A380 in 2007 and has continued to invest heavily in new-generation aircraft.
