Scoot

Scoot, originally founded in 2011 and operational since 2012, is a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines Group. Headquartered in Singapore, Scoot operates its hub at Singapore Changi Airport. The airline was formed through the merger of Scoot and Tigerair Singapore in 2017, combining two Singapore Airlines Group budget brands into a single carrier. Scoot's fleet includes Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliner for medium and long-haul routes, and Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft for short-haul services. The wide-body Dreamliner fleet distinguishes Scoot from many other low-cost carriers, enabling it to operate longer routes to destinations in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Greece, and Germany. Scoot's cabin products include ScootPlus, a premium economy product on wide-body aircraft with recliner seats, extra legroom, meals, and priority services, alongside standard Economy. The airline operates an ancillary revenue model with charges for checked bags, meals, seat selection, and other services. Scoot serves destinations across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Oceania, and select European cities. The KrisFlyer loyalty program of Singapore Airlines is available to Scoot passengers for earning and redemption. Scoot does not belong to any global airline alliance independently. The airline's Dreamliner operations allow Singapore Airlines Group to serve price-sensitive segments on routes where mainline Singapore Airlines service may not be commercially viable, expanding the group's total addressable market.
